just got a benq fp937s. got my old moniter siting on another table to my left. got it pluged in and all. i try to do a horizontal span but it streches the background, the toolbar, and anything else i open up. the moniters arnt right next to eachother, so i dont want that. i want the 2nd moniter to have a seperate background and not share anything unless i tell it to. (i actualy want to just watch tv on it with my tv tuner while i do other stuff => ) could you try to help me?
also, is it possible to be playing a game, and make the mouse jump to the other moniter to do something, then jump it back? any disadvantages to duel moniters? like the mouse going where you dont want it or loosing something or whatnot?

1) its dual, not duel
2) what graphics card are you using?
3) you need to use 'dual view', and not horizontal span
4) you can jump to the other monitor, but your game will minimize, therefore delaying your productivity
5) absolutely NO disadvantage to using dual monitors (unless your card cant handle it and your frames drop like crazy)
6) i have never heard of anything like a crazy mouse. ive never had any problems.

The mouse can seem a bit nutty if you don't have your dual screens aligned correctly. Someone I know set up dual screens, but had managed to drag one so neither the top nor the bottom lined up even though they were both in the same res. Confused the crap out of him. Fixed in 60 seconds.

1) go to display properties in control panel
2) go to 'settings'
3) on the display list, select the second monitor and make sure that the box marked 'extend my windows desktop onto this monitor' is checked (below the resolution settings)
4) select 'advanced'
5) click geforce fx 5600 properties
6) click nView Display mode from the side list
7) under nView Modes, select Dualview
8) make one display the primary display and the other one the secondary monitor
9) click apply to make sure everything worked, and then click ok

if you want me to tell you how to change each monitors settings (ie backround, etc) seperately just ask. ill make another list for ya. :p
