I have a legal copy of Vista 64 and 32 bit, I got the second key for $10 and decided to use it to install 32 bit Vista so I could use the leaked Nvidia beta drivers 256.76, which are only 32 bit, and now I find out Windows 7 only. No Vista compatibility. So I have Vista 64 of my SSD raid and Vista 32 on my Raptor Raid which I use as a scratch disk/page file.
So I'm thinking of a Windows 7 upgrade (clean install of course) using the 32 bit install, and wondering if it ties the upgrade key to the Vista key. I was thinking that in a month or so when Nvidia gets around to releasing Surround gaming, I could just delete my 32 bit install and then upgrade my main SSD install which has Vista 64 with a fresh 64 bit Win 7 install. But if it ties the two keys together and is logged at Microsoft I might have a problem despite it being the same computer.
