Hello everyone, I have a, hopefully, simple question for you.

At work i have shortcuts to a few files that are shared/updated on the network drive. But after they are updated, my shortcut fails to load since it is a newer version.

Is there a way to keep the shortcut up to date?

Thank you!

Take it the file names are different per update.

If the files are in a small folder where it is easy to find them in you could shortcut to that folder.

Or if the file naming have some minor differences you if possible throw in a wildcard search/shortcut.
Ex: old file "prog2.1", new file "prog3.4", search "prog*"

My knowledge is somewhat dated and rusty.

there's no reason the shortcut would be broke simply because the file was updated; unless, of course, the file name changes.

what kind of files are these?
