Ive watercooled in the past, and I find it just to be a hassle. I go to lans alot and it always seemed I could mess something up with my kit. Im thinking about going back to it just because of the ease of this kit. But I want your guys opinion on it. Take a look and LMK.

all the reviews I've read on the Evercool kit said the same thing - it performs worse than air. But I've not used it, so they may be wrong

Again, the EXOS sits outside of the case, and cost a lot of money. I can pick up the Evercool for 50$ on ebay. I just cant find any reviews on it. Even if it only cools my cpu 10 degrees it would still be worth it to me.

Put it this way. You're better off taking that $50 and buying a ThermalRight with a speed-adjustable volcano fan. You'll probably get about the same temp, and it'll be completely LAN portable.

:)

They have these Evercool systems at a local store for $99, and they are cheap. In construction, in performance, in everything.

If you seriously want something that cheap, you can pickup a Swiftech CPU-waterblock off Ebay for about $30, buy a good $30 pump, and get a cheap heatercore ($15). $75, and it'll be well worth it.

"To complete performance testing, I will be comparing the Evercool WC-101 Liquid Cooling Kit against the AeroCool Glacier HSF Cooler. The Evercool WC-101 Liquid Cooling Kit paled in comparison and displayed disappointing results when placed against a standard air cooler. "

Just place a kit together yourself to make it what you want and you will like it...

I guess I didnt make myself clear enough in my first post. I dont want to "put together a kit" I want something that is already together, such as the EXOS or this evercool kit. I want something REALLY simple that wont have any problems. You mentioned a HSF instead, which one would do me best? Im currently just using the stock HSF that came with my p4. It is the one that has the copper on the bottom.

I think even the thermaltake aquarius works better than the evercool unit.

But the evercool might work nicely if you gut the fan in it, duct the opening to the top of the case, and have a nice strong 92mm fan up there...you just might get good cooling then.

I know you like the simple "2-line" kits....but if your looking for that, why not just save up for a koolance? I know your on a budget, but budget and convenient W/C hardware don't really go hand in hand yet.

On the other hand, you could get a swiftech 8001 kit, and only have to drill 2 holes in the floor of your case for the pump. The rad fits in an 80mm fan spot. Not a great performer, but if you swap out the radiator later it becomes a very capable setup.
