question about video card choice

i have a shuttle SFF system(clawhammer 3200+, 1 gig ram etc) as 2nd/media pcl.
and it has agp on outer side(no 2 slot card can fit in unless heavy modding) of mobo toward case.
I was looking around, saw chaintech and gainward 6800 regular that has single slot cooler, and x800 pro which has single slot copper cooler.

for SFF systems, which performs better thermal wise? 6800 regular cost about 245, x800 pro cost about 350ish. Shuttle does not have much air flow, and I am worried if i put x800 pro(which i already have xt pe, it heats up like 55 while gaming) in there with no additional cooling, it will fry the card.

I have made 2 cards actaully go artifacting on MSI and shuttle sff systems, any of you that own those 6800 or x800 pro card, can you give me some help on temperature advice?
 
okay....sorry if i seem ignorant, but: you have an x800xt pe in a SFF system, and when u game it gets up to 55*C? and you want to figure out, thermally, which would be the best?

well, for video cards, their maximum temperature and operating range is FAR higher than a CPU. if you look at most of the people with 6800GTs, they are like happy to get 78*C under load. i wouldn't be worried about 55*C, but if you are, i'm not exactly sure which runs warmer, but i would assume the x800 pro.
