Question about vid card upgrade

I currently have the 9800XT and have had it since they were introduced last year. I am seeing all the specs and results of the new cards and am asking myself is it worth an upgrade?

It's not that I am terribly disappointed with the performance, but I do like to play my games in High-Res and I stuck at 1024x768 in the newer games like Far Cry and Doom 3.

Would I be better off spending my money on an A64 and mobo? I currently run an Athlon XP 2800+.

No, it's not worth it yet. Card's are getting much better and your current card will do good in todays games, I would just wait untill the next generation of cards come out and PCI express gets more popular.
