I was thinking of getting either a Geforce FX 5950 or Ati radeon 9800 XT ..is it worth it or should i stick with my radeon 9800 pro 128 for now"?

DEFINITLY stick with what you have right now, upgrade when games actually start taking a toll on your video card..

I mean why waste money?

Your current video card is good enough for the time being. Wait until PCI Express video cards come out.

wait to see what happens with the N40's and R45's ( sorry if i miss labled them ). 9800 pros are just a slightly underclocked XT with a extra 128mbs.

Not unless he's planning on buying a new mobo at the same time.

I would wait, its going to be waste of money upgrading to the next step video card. You should wait and upgrade when it will be major speed increase in these cards. You probably spent $300+ on the card and will sell it for like less than $200 and put in another $200-250 just to get another card. Waste of money. 9800 Pro will last you for a while. Definitely will play doom 3 and half life 2.

Also just think, the radeon 9700 pro has lasted this long and is still a really strong card.
