Hello,
I have a brief question about the TT SP-97 Heat Sink.
I noticed that when I place a fan, either a 92mm or 80mm, there seems to be some space on the outside of the HS that is cooled by the fan as well.
My question is this: Should I be concerned about the drop in Air pressure caused by this extra space? My reason for this question is that I have a 120mm fan sitting atop a 120-80mm fan adapter, and I noticed that a lot of the cooling potential is possibly wasted by this. I did a “Gettheo Mod” Involving a great quantity of duct tape and elbow grease, and determined that after this mod the air-pressure is directed centrally over the heat sink fins. Prior to this mod most of the air-pressure escaped to either side of the heat sink and only a small quantity of pressure was noticeable to flow over the central point of the fins.

Anyways, your thoughts and constructive input are greatly appreciated.
