Hello, I am plannig to build a new rig, (the one in my sig) in december. So right now I have about 400 to do whatever I want with. Now I game on a Dell Inspiron 8600 that has a FX5200 Go, pentium m 1.5, 256mb RAM, and a res of 1280x800 and I see a FPS of about 55-60 in CS 1.6. I was thinking the new tforce boards have the 6series onboard. I have 80gb hdd, and a DVD burner lieing around my room. So I could by the aspire qpack, and some 50 dollar twinmos 512 and a a64 3000+ and throw together a rig of my own for about 450. (the laptops my moms) So I could use that rig until I upgrade everything in december I could sell the ram and proc off to friends who still are running semprons, and buy a GTX, X-FI, 2Gbs of RAM, and all that jazz. So will the onboard sound/graphics be enough to play CS 1.6 wiht a good amount of FPS. I am looking to be playing at 1024x768. What do you guys think, and If I have to spend money on a card what's the cheapest card I could get by with considering it'd only be in my rig for like 2-3 months.
