i'm usini'm using this mousepad with my mx700 wireless mouse, and having a bit of trouble. when i use the smooth side with mousefeet, its too rough, so i take off mousefeet and its very smooth but scrates up the surface. if i flip to rough side with mousefeet, its alrite but better without mousefeet. can i use the mx700 on the rough side without mouse feet and not have tow rry too much about sever erosion of my MX''s built in feet?

the extra mousefeet i use are ICEMAT brand i think
 
the feet will wear down over time. how long they last depends on how much u use the mouse. especially in gaming instances.

you have several options...keep replacing the padsurfer included with the icemat until you have to buy more. to my knowledge they dont last long especially using a func pad and no idea where you can purchase it unless direct which they are based in europe which will cost an arm and leg for shipping alone.

...or you have the option of buying 12x12 of teflon sheet (www.onlinemetals.com) thickness is 0.03125" which is 1/32 and making your own feet; cost $8.99usd. only problem is if you use a logitech mouse it might not work well unless you filed them down a bit so it'll read better. with microsoft mice you wont have this problem. use household goop you can buy at your local hardware store to apply the feet and you're set. i havent tried looking at other places but i'm sure they make them thinner than just 1/32...google it and see what you can find.;)

....or if what i have suggested above does not apply to you.....you can just wait until www.hyperglide.net comes out here in the states. no word when yet to my knowledge....basically they make their own teflon feet to replace the original feet from logitech and microsoft.
