i don't exactly know how, but some people say that they can hear 22 db fan and pump noise. i can't myself, but some people say that they do. given that he has a triple rad, i would tend to think that he is reasonably noise sensitive, even though he has loud fans on there.nikhsub1 said:IIRC the LIS is rated at 10W per channel. The fan controller is rated at .83A on each channel and the back of the fans say there .90A each but when i checked the spec's on Delta's site it says .60A !!! WTF

i believe that the guideline in industry is something around 70 db, for 8 hrs daily. i was working in an environment up around that level with occastional high pressure blowout shocks when tanks failed the pressure test next door. if you also sleep with loud noise levels (55 db in the case of the fan i was using), that also has some bearing on it.

YOu should be fine. The .9 amp is probably the max value the fan will draw at startup, and usually is not as high as claimed, they overrate this generally to cover themselves. Even if the fan were to draw .9a, it would be for a millisecond at startup but I hightly doubt it will draw that much.RealMentalCase said:Does this mean i can use these fans with the fan controller and that it will only pump out .83A max to the fan ?![]()
