Question about the CUSA x800 cards.....

w0w, the [h]. Forums are finally up. Has been a while.
Anyway-
I was surfing the CompUSA inventory and have a few questions about the cards they are selling.

1) One of the cards I saw that they got back in stock was the Radeon X800 XT Platinum Video Card, 8x AGP, 256MB DDR3.Now the card is selling for $500. Good price for a XT PE right..?considering others are selling it for $550 and maybe more. However..the advertised box only reads x800 XT. And the advertisment is for a XT Platinum..so is the card a PE or just a XT?

Question 2) What is so good about this Radeon X800 Pro Video Card, 8x AGP, 256MB DDR3 videocard that it costs $513? Its just a PRO?

I can answer all questions!

1.They have the wrong picture but the manufacturer's part number (100-435210) correctly describes a X800 XT Platinum Edition card.

2.The X800 Pro is made by Crucial which is the most respected and revered manufacturer of PC memory. Maybe that is why its price is so darn high.
EDIT: I read a review on it just now. It is NOT a "special" X800 Pro, but it is a great card. Even though Crucial is known for their memory work, thier memory is not on the card. The card has Samsung memory just like most other X800 Pros.

3.This card is just as good as the card in question one. They are both X800 XT PE's. Xtasy is a very good and trusted brand.

Thanks for the info. I am still wondering one thing- if that is just a regular x800 PRO...WHY IS IT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE X800 XT PE??? LOL. Just Supply and demand?
