Question about the Astro Mixamp

Bought the Mixamp and Audio Technica ATH-A700 Headphones, and a Zalaman Mic this morning just got a few questions. Can i plug in the Mixamp to the PS3 Via the optic cable, and have my PC pluged in via the RCA jack at the same time and be fine, PS3 would be off most of the time main use will still be the PC, The mic will be going to the PC for now only plan to use the PS3 for movies and a few single player games. Or would it be best to only plug in the PS3 when i want to use it and unplug the PC. Just wana make sure i don't screw it up.

Also were do you guys keep your Mixamp, is it posible to hand on the wall or somthing lol Not even sure how big or small it is. Cant wait for both of them to come

Only have mine plugged into my computer. very useful piece of kit.
