Question about the Antec 300 case

I am looking to pick up an inexpensive case for another pc at home. I currently have the Antec 902 and love it (the 300 if I buy it won't be replacing the 902, it's for another pc). I noticed on the 300 that the side panel has an air vent, but it doesn't have a dust filter on that vent like the 902 has.

How much dust can be pulled into the 300 because the side air vent has no dust filter? I live in a very dusty house because of our central air/heat. Let's put it this way, if I run my 902 for 12 hours a day, after a week my dust filters are VERY much in need of being cleaned (so much so that my temps on my cpu and gpu are up a few degrees because of the lack of air flow from the dust filters being covered with dust).
 
It will get dust in it there is no way to not get dust, But with the way the case market is the 300 is a old expensive relic, many cheaper nicer cases.
 
You can purchase a 140mm fan filter for the side fan. The grill design is slightly protruding outwards, so a 120mm filter doesn't fit that well.
 
You'll want a filter :p
But I agree, there is probably a better case available. This coming from an owner of the 300...Though I modded mine to have a window (no more side vent/fan).
:edit: Your 902 is basically a better 300, so if that gets dusty, expect the exact same results from the 300, but worse dust wise.

I taped some black paper to the inside of the opening to prevent dust from getting in there.
 
I just tossed some new parts that I wanted to make sure worked before the return period was up into an Antec 300. I picked it up at a local shop on sale for $42 after tax. Pretty hard to beat from what I saw, course I wasn't going home without a case and it was nearly the cheapest one in the place. Not sure what you'd pay for one but honestly, it's not a bad deal at that price.
 
seal the opening with a window, or if you want something fast/cheap a piece of paper so air doesn't come in from that opening...

i have two of those cases and i love them, but yes, that opening does get dusty...
