hey guys, i just recently built a htpc (mainly for dvd/blu-ray playback) and music. this is a small living room setup, i cant bring my tower speakers and receivers.. i do have combination of speakers and i want you guys to help me pick the right combination.

what i have as far as computer speakers.
1. logitech z-4 2.1 setup
2. m-Audio studiopro 3 stereo speakers.

Should i just use the z-4? i had an idea that i will use sub from the z-4 but use the m-audio as from front speakers.. bad idea?

Well, it is going to sound better with the M-Audio speakers. I would not even use the sub personally. That is me though. The boominess would annoy me.

I would consider upgrading a bit when you can scrape up about $100-150 for a better sub then another $200 or so for a decent amp + speakers.

for now i cant put more money ... i was just trying to get by with what i have and make it sound descent. thats all

Yeah whenever. I understand trust me. Try the M-Audio by themselves and then add the sub. That will give you a better idea of how the mix works than just going 2.1 right away.
