when are they coming out?

also, how will 2 like 6600's compares to like a 6800gt/ultra and a x800xtpe?
 
Really, you think people can do anything other than take guesses at this point? We barely even have real 6600 benches, let alone SLI of either 6600 GT/NGT.

They said in the [H] workshop at quakecon, that 2x6600 in sli was about the same as a 6800 gt.

then why are they even makingthem? thats dumb
 
its called technology, and it allows people to buy one card first and upgrade later if they want to
 
It's not like you HAVE TO buy two 6600's for an SLI configuration. Most people would probably just buy one, period. Having the option to buy a second down the road is always enticing though.

why even buy one then have to buy another? spend the extra and get a 6800gt
 
Why get a GT for $399 when you can get one 6600GT for $200, then 4 months later, get another and be running around 6800U speed?

because some ppl cant afford to spend 200 bucks more? jesus man its called options, if everyone was so static and equal there'd be no problems in the world now would there
