Question about SLI....

One how much benefit is there? I see you can mix manufacturers cards, is that risky? What needs to be the same on the card the chipset? Can different cards be mixed; that is an 800xl with an 800gto or 850xt?

Your asking about SLI in the nvidia forum and you have ATI cards.

I suggest you just leave you computer alone before you hurt it.

You're right, you didnt but, you did ask about SLI which is a feature only nvidia cards have! What you want is Crossfire, which is ATI's way of using dual cards. For crossfire to work, you need at least one crossfire edition of a card, and it has to be the same GPU, not sure about the brand.

You can try running ati cards in sli all day.................but your not gonna have much luck

In reality, crossfire or sli usually gives you about a 1.8x performance, not quite double but its getting closer and closer with newer drivers, etc. It was worth it to me, but it is quite expensive sometimes.
