are my SATA HDs and DVD drive supposed to be detected as removeable devices in XP Pro? I thought there was a topic on this recently but I couldn't find it through search

also, I've notice some weird instances where my SATA DVD drive isn't detected, and other times where my PC makes that USB plug in sound. not sure if that is related to the DVD issue, it could also be related to my keyboard, wireless mouse, or other USB devices

btw, I have an eVGA 680i SLI mobo
