Hi, im looking at getting a 22 inch monitor. I noticed that the 20 inch monitors had the same resolution as the 22 inch monitors 1680x1050. At first i didnt think much of this, but then i read somewhere that since its using the same resolution, the 22 inch would seem more stretched out and less clear than the 20 inch monitor.

Is that true? Rite now i have a vx922, 1280x1024. If i get a 22 inch monitor will the picture look as good or maby better? or will it be like stretched out and blurry?

I have a 37" 1920x1080 monitor and it is razor sharp. So don't worry yourself about it... if the display looks poor, it won't be specifically because of the pixel pitch.

No it certainly wont look blurry. Saying it will be more stretched out and less clear is a stupid thing to say. Compared to you 19" the pitch is similar so if you're happy with that and want the 22" just buy it, be happy and don't worry about idiot spouting rubbish about what they don't understand.

You'll be sitting back from the screen a few more inches with the 22", so shouldn't notice the slight decrease in PQ. I like to sit up close, as I do as much writing and reading as watching movies and playing games; therefore, the 20" ws is more ideal for me.
