I have a question regarding resolution and gaming if anyone wouldnt mind to give me a little insight.

I have a 24" samsung 16:9 monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1080, which is what i usually game at, but considering the strain crysis puts on my system, i have to lower that, but not knowing too much about resolutions, i'm unsure what resolutions that are lower would be the closest representation when it comes to being proportionate to my native resolution.

For example, 1280x768, 1280x800,1280x960 and 1280x1024 and so on.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks. One more question, i've been playing it on 1280x768 but whenever i put it on any resolution under that, fraps doesnt show up in the corner anymore. Is there any way to remedy that?

My LCD screen tends to blur so I leave it on native resolution ( 1920 x 1200 ) and just lower the graphical details in the graphics options.

You can set a custom resolution to whatever the heck you want. 16/9 = 1.7777777, so just create a custom resolution where the horizontal pixels is 1.777 times the vertical and you'll be sweet.

Not sure about ATI, but nVidia if you set a custom resolution in the nVidia Control Panel, next time you load the game that resolution will appear as an option, as Crysis just reads off what is available in the driver.
