hello i am thinking of going with cf for my new pc but what do you think the resale value would be for like a his x1900xt and a his x1900 cf edition card be after dx 10. I know it wouldn't be alot but how much $$$ do you think i could get after dx 10? thank you !

Honestly, I doubt that DX10 will really take off as soon as vista comes out, you may be waiting a while before you can even use dx10.. Dx9 really only took off about a year ago with HL2 IMHO. By the time you will want a dx10 card and can notice a difference between dx9 and 10, the card will probably be in the same catagory as a 9800xt is now.. the 9800xt still an OK card, but not something that you should consider for a serious upgrade, and thats how the x1900 series will end up.

this is all specuation and im sure this will draw a few flames... but honestly, DX10 is coming with vista.. and vista is being delayed till ????. Even then, vista will support dx9 and so will a good percentage of the games for years to come. Remember, unless you are talking ubi/grin, game companies are out for the $$$. They cant make much selling games that a small percentage of people can play.

Yeah, don't worry about DX10. Vista isn't going to ship until next year, then it will take some time for games to come out. You probably wouldn't buy a DX10 compatible card right away anyway, with the 1900s you could easily wait for the second generation cards to arrive.

Get those 1900s, you'll be glad you did.
