Hey everyone, this is going to sound really nooby.

I'm thinking of selling my Mushkin Level II memory (1 gig) and CPU (2.4 C) because I'm not really heavy into overclocking now a days.

I'm just wondering how to properly package these things in case someone is willing to purchase it.

I still have the CPU box and the plastic storage case it came in, so I could just stick the CPU back into that. As for the memory...the packaging I got them in had to be cut open so I could get the memory sticks out, so I can't use those again...or can I?

Could I put the memory into an antistatic back, fold down the opening, and then put it into a box and ship it that way?

Sorry for my ignorance, I'm not familiar with shipping out non-defective hardware. :)

ok put it in a anti static bag, put some bunched up newspaper and ship the 1 gig to me in a card board box

btw im not kidding, how much do you want and whats the specs

Hey I'm thinking of selling mine too. I think we have the same stuff, Mushkin PC3500 Level II, right?

What are you getting to replace it?

I would put it in an antistatic bag, then wrap it in bubble wrap and put it in a small box packed full of foam peanuts.

I second that - there's no way sth bad could happen if you do so..

Yeah, I'm going back to stock machines so I'll probably go to Crucial RAM or Corsair Value Select, since I'm looking into getting around 2 gigs for work, development, and rendering and animation purposes; and I'd like my RAM to be from the same manufacturer.

I have Mushkin Level II PC3500 with the BH-5 chips, 2 sticks of 512 MB. I paid $283 for them when I bought them, I'd probably part with them for $220 or so, or best offer if it's reasonable.

I bought them back in December; one of them had to be replaced by Mushkin because one was defective. I have overclocked my P4 from 2.4 to 3.3 with the RAM, but I never tried to push it further.

And for those that care: 1 stick has a green memory sink, and the one that was replaced has a silver one.

I'll probably put it up on FS/FT forums soon.

Thanks for the help guys, just didn't want to screw up the RAM if I sent it.

...please do. Per the rules:

As you seem to have an answer to your packaging question, I'll shut this thread down and wish you luck in the FS/FT forum....

Thanks - B.B.S.
