Question about Ramsinks for X800XT

O.K. I got these two long ramsinks for the 4 memory modules on the top of the card. Now my question is, these ramsinks are pretty long, so I only got two because each one will over 2 memory modules, now can this harm anything on my card? Like since one goes over two memory modules, will this harm any of the little components in between the memory modules? I don't think they will but I want to be sure, I also have been running this at 520 and 560 and ran 3DMark05 about 8 times and played WoW for about 4 hours and had no problems, so will these ramsinks effect anything? By the way they are copper. Here is a link to a good picture of what im talking about, except this ramsinks are on top of my AIW X800XT, so its not on the side with the fan.

Well thats the thing, since each heatsink runs from one memory to another, it will be touching anything thats in between, but I want to know if it will effect anything? Its been running fine from the numerous times i ran 3DMark05 and WoW, so what would you say?

I would not be comfortable with it, but if it works I guess you're ok. If it were me I'd cut them down to size to fit the RAM only.

Actually, I should correct myself. I'd have bought heatsinks sized for my RAM chips in the first place. Like I said, if it's working for you then I guess you're OK.
