Question about RAM

I am overclocking an Athlon64 3700+ paired with OCZ Platinum 2GB 2-3-2-5 kit on a DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D. I think I've got the processor to it's max but I am a little unsure about how to properly overclock my RAM.

What I have been doing is booting into memtest after upping the HTT/FSB and running test 5, as per a walkthough I found on the web. I am told that once I start seeing errors I need to either up the voltage, loosen the timings, or drop the HTT/FSB.

Thing is I can't seem to get my RAM to do 250 mhz or more.

Anyhow, my question is, when loosening the timings with RAM, is there a certain order to start with? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

and dont forget to get some active cooling on those things since you are going to be OCing :D
if it was only a miniscule amount without raising any voltages, i wudnt worry.
however, i think the general idea is that if u go 3v or over, u must have active cooling on them. if i dont run a fan directly blowing on my ballistix, they get reallly hot, im talking about 50C+.
also, u can check out eclipse's OCing guide for more help

A good place to start right here.
When you find the max your ram can go, just use a memory divider.

Thanks for the feedback guys. That's an excellent looking guide, and from that and the follow up posts I have a feeling I'll find the answers I'm after.
