I'm extremely new to raid and don't know quite a whole lot about it.
Recently i built and ordered a computer for my brother and i decided to get a Raid setup. He didn't have enough money for 2 harddrives so i just got him 1, an 80 gig Serial ATA Maxtor. Since im not really using raid since i only have 1 HD, can i just treat the drive like a normal IDE drive? So should i just skip the drivers and skip pressing the F6 when i install Windows?

then in a couple months or so i can get him another HD with raid.

thanks

yup ...

Actually with out knowing what Mobo you have you still may need to load the SATA drivers but its not gonna hurt to try it without installing them.
