Question about RAID-0

Hello,

I have the setup in my sig with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate is installed on the SSD. If I move my SSD and all HDDs to a new build (with a RAID-0 enabled motherboard), will my RAID-0 arrays survive?

It depends on what motherboard you are moving from and too. RAID 0 mitigration works best if the same chipset (or close generations) are used; e.g., Intel ICH10R to ICH10R or even ICH9R to ICH10R. Moving from Intel to Nvidia would not work though.
 
If you are worried about it and have an extra drive, you could always clone the RAID to a single drive, setup the new raid, and copy the data back.
 
Thanks guys, I'm probably going to get the Asus P8Z77 WS. I'd backup the data, but i don't have a spare 5TB dtive LOL! I'll definitely backup the important stuff, but I just wanted to know what are my odds :)

BTW, the RAID-0 is set up through Windows, in case that changes anything.
 
using windows dynamic disks might really screw things up. Don't use them. Use a real raid controller - even if its just some on board... its still better than a software raid.
 
I transfered a 2x1TB from a X58 board to a Z77 board and it survived no problem. I also have a JBOD setup in Windows as well (I think its dynamic disk) and I completely reinstalled Windows and it picked up the volume no problem...well I did have to go into Computer Management and manually activate the volume and assign a drive letter, but after that it functioned correctly.
