I am going to be building a rig soon(AMD 64bit 3000+) WHat ezactly are PCI-E Vid cards and how important is it to get a mobo that supports PCI-e
 
PCI express video cards are video cards that connect to a PCI express slot instead of an AGP slot. Currently, only the Intel i9x5 chipset based motherboards have PCI Express.

At this point in time, it's not very important to be getting a PCI Express motherboard because there are no PCI Express devices except for some video cards, and the PCI-E versions of the video cards cost more to begin with.
