Question about painting a Microsoft Mouse

Hey what's up gang... I'm looking for some advice. I have an alienware\microsoft intellimouse explorer 3.0 that came painted fully black. On the side of the mouse where my thumb usually sits the paint has been flaking off and I would like to disassemble and repaint it.

The thing is I don't know anything about painting and I don't want to do a half assed job. What steps would you guys recommend to properly repaint it and what kind of paint would you suggest?

If you do a quick search on google for "paint mouse" i'm guessing you'll find a guide.

as for the paint you should use. When I do plastic, I use the Krylon Fusion spray. It usually works really well, I've just never done a mouse myself before.

Judging by that guys final product I might not use that tutorial. :p

Painting plastic is painting plastic. You don't necissarily need a "how to paint a mouse" tutorial.
