Hey guys, something had being bothering my little brand, I was hoping you guys (the wise ones) can help me clarify a few things.
With the increase in power comsumption by new generation of PC components the PSU are pumping out more juice and had more connectors for different needs. i.e. 6 pin connector for PCIe and 8 pin atx connectors for the newer mobo....etc. I noticed a lot of those newer connectors are not presented on the older PSU, like the ATX v1.0. However, I had a 5 year old server PSU that works with regular mobo and it had all those newer connectors builded in. So, I am wondering are those connectors really new or are they just old stuff that had being implemented to consumer grade PSU? Forgot to mention the server PSU I got did come as 24 pin instead of 20pin, had to get an adaptor to get it to work with regular mobo.
