Question about new NEC EA231WMI

Hi

Just received my new EA231WMi. It's hooked up to my new Mac Mini which immediately gave the monitor 1080p resolution. The monitor seems to increase and decrease brightness automatically, is this part of the eco mode?

Also is there any quide on how calibrate the monitor?

p.s. Two New Dell 2007FP S-IPS monitors are up for sale which only been used a few days. eBay feedback here

Yes this part of the eco mode. You can turn it off in the menu. Don't remember where specifically but its in there. It drives me crazy when a monitor is continually adjusting brightness to what it thinks it should be.

Monitor seems like it's factory calibrated but if theres any instructions on how to improve image I am happy to follow them.

Go to TFTcentral.co.uk and download their calibrated icc profile. It probably won't be as accurate since you don't have the exact monitor they had, but it should be an improvement. Personally, that profile was a little too blue for me. I downloaded Mastercheif's and some other [H]ard member's profiles from the huge EA231WMi thread. Those work great for me.
