my problem is that my brand new asus N6600GT (AGP)'s PCI-E -to- AGP bridge is running around 64celcius is that normal cuz it seems really hot? the GPU's temp is idle at 47celsius.
any feedback is appreciated

I've heard that those bridges get hotter than hell, and yours actually seems pretty tame compared to some of the other reports I have heard. I think it'll be fine.

damn thats a pretty cool idle temp on the gpu. i thought 6600gt cards ran much hotter.

My 6600GT idles at 48 in a very, very warm room. I do have a Zalman VF700 on it, though. Stock was a different story.

thanks for the feedback.
i didnt try gaming on it as of yet cuz of the agp bridge temp., it got me worried.
the actual reading on the bridge was 70celcius, but i was able to lower it down to 64 - 67 by scraping off the stock thermal compound and slapping on some arctic silver 5. :)
