Question about my E2200HD

I just got my E2200HD over the weekend. And whenever I go to a web page with a solid color background. Like the black used for this forum. I can see what appears to be little waves going down the screen?
Any way to fix this?

P.S. there are no speakers near the monitor

Are u sure it's E2200HD?
From BenQ's corporate site, it should comes with speakers: Speakers 2 x1W

That is probably what they call backlight bleed and there is nothing you can do about it.

Are you connected to it via analog (d-sub / VGA) or digital (DVI / HDMI)? What you're describing sounds like poor pixel clock calibration, and the easiest fix if it is would be switching to a digital signal.

Can I use the d-sub cable, and just use DVI adapter?

You must use dvi cable with dvi-connectors on both ends. No adapters. Dvi cable should come with the monitor.

it came with a cable but it was a 15-pin d-sub cable

you only have VGA out of your computer right?

If you have DVI out on your machine (any modern machine should, really, at least a 'gaming' machine) and no cable pick one up at Monoprice.com for around $15 shipped.
