Question about ipod.

1st question. How do I update my Ipod? Its version 1.1.2.
Is there anything other than itunes I can use with the iPod?

Also, I have a bunch of assorted music. Any programs that can help me sort it? Alot of it comes up on windows media player without and artist. Just the file name as the title. Any way to fix this? I got this old ipod, and all this music... and yea. Its a mess. I would love any help or advice. Thanks

to update your ipod, you need to install itunes.

there are a lot of third-party programs you can use to transfer music to your ipod. winamp is one of them. just do a search on google.

so most of the songs you have don't have id3 tags. unfortunately, tagging mp3s need to be done manually. i think there are programs that try to tag your mp3s automatically but i don't think they're that accurate. you can use tagscanner if you want to tag em yourself.

Tagging full albums automatically is pretty straightforward with the right software. You just need a tagging program that supports freedb.
