question about Intel DUO & MB support?

i have an old Abit AI-7 and i'm building a backup system in case my main goes down. will this processor Intel Core Duo T2300 Yonah 667MHz FSB 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 478 Processor - Retail work in with the board? or should i just stick to my old 2.4c.
 
thanks i saw the 478 in the title on newegg and wondered if i could slap that on the old board...

shouldn't it say 479 instead?
 
yea, i heard newegg got it wrong. the Core series processors are socket 479. But newegg does sell S479 boards too, so if you want to get one, go for it =D

Yes, but these boards are on the 915G chipset and therefore only support Pentium M, not Core Solo or Duo.
