Ok, so I currently have the following system...
Abit NF7-S v2.0
Athlon XP 1800@3000
512 DDR PC3200
Western Digital SATA Raid Controller (PCI)
1x ATA100 Western Digital 120gb 7200rpm 8mb
2x Serial ATA Western Digital 200gb 7200rpm 8mb
I have Windows XP Professional installed on the main drive, the 120gb, all data storage will be on the 400gb raid.
My question is this. Does the main drive ( ATA 120gb ) ruin the performance of the raid ? When I copied about 70gb of data from the 120 to the 400 it took about 5 hours... is that normal or is something wrong here?
