Question about Harmon Kardon AVR

So I'm thinking about going with a HK AVR-354 to be connected to my HTPC. However, I have "special needs".

I am planning on buying Klipsch Quintet III's and a Sub-12. However, I also want good left and right speakers for stereo listening. I'm looking at the HSU HB-1 MKIIs.

My question is will I be able to just run those two speakers in two channel mode for music listening?

The Klipsch are good for movies but I can't really stand them for music.
 
If you want two different sets of fronts, you could always use a "zoned" receiver. The way this is handled varies, but often it swipes two channels of a 7.1 array and uses them for the alternate stereo speakers. I believe this is the way the AVR 354 works, see "Zone 2" references in the manual:
