I have one question for overclocking.

Ok, to get ur CPU FSB, and your ram the highest as possible, if u were to try to get them as high as they could get is the problem overheating or like just have a limit in voltage.
My power supply, currently is 400 Watt, and i have a 1.8 non hyper-threading processer @ 100 FSB without multilpliers. And i dunno wut my ram is cuz my dell. My 2nd & 3rd Questions are: How high could i get my FSB with this heatsink http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-106-044&depa=0 and i think my ram is PC2700 and how high could i get the ram? thx im such a noob im only 12 : - |
 
you can overclock a dell

my friend and i, back when we were in highschool useto overclock our computers in our CAD class, they were dells

funny thing is they leave them on all the time and well dell's cooling sux so 2 of the pcs died from overheating HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHA sux 2 b them :D
 
overclocking at 12... how interesting... you might need a better motherboard before you can overclock... see if you can find settings for memory timings in the bios.. if you can find those... you got a halfway decent motherboard.. but dont expect much from a dell

100 mhtz ram... sounds like old sdram... iirc it doesnt give you more then a couple mhtz for the cheep stuff
 
my ram is like pc2700 and my processor is 1.8 but the only thing i need to know is wut button to press on a dell to get into BIOS, and sum plz gimme the link to a bios Flasher for Dells, and thats funny about ur school
 
Not sure, try Delete, but it's most likely F1, F2 or something like that. Maybe even F8. Just press all the F buttons until something happens. Then start with the home keys and delete/end and stuff. :D
 
Or take your Christmas money mommy and daddy give you and buy a cheap Barton 2500+ with pc3200 RAM and go to town.... Youre wasting your time on this Dell... I didnt know Dell owners posted on PC forums...
