The water cooling build I'm working on uses a fan speed controller to adjust the power of my rad fans (all three of them). I don't have any practical purpose for adjusting each fan manually, and when I make the adjustments it's rather annoying to do it three times. I found a 4 way fan power splitter, so my question is when I plug all my rad fans into this one splitter, connect it to my fan controller, will I be able to adjust all fans with one nob? Also (bonus question), if I have an LCD display that shows RPM, how will it read my RPM feedback from the set power that I command.
 
You can use that if the power draw from the 3 fans doesn't exceed the power limit of the fan controller.
Some controllers are 3 amps over 3 channels so each channel is 1 amp or 12 watts.
I can't help you with the RPM monitoring.

We need to know what fans and controller you have.
 
With that adapter you will only be able to monitor RPM from one fan, not all four.
 
I haven't purchased them yet, but I was considering 3 low speed triebwerk 55mm fans and a Lamptron FC Touch. I couldn't find anything about the amps per channel, any idea what the avg range is?

Ya like everyone said, You gotta be careful splitting multiple fans into one channel. It may go up in smoke lol.

Nice fan controller, Pretty damn expensive but looks sweet.

For the record, those are TERRIBLE fans for the money. They have cheap sleeve bearings and most 38mm fans such as NMB-MAT, Delta, and San Ace will perform just as well or better.

Power = Current x Voltage, so amps per channel = 30W / 12V giving you 2.5A.


I made my own fan splitters by buying the headers/housings/pins and soldering them all together. I normally run 3-4 San Aces or GT's off of one channel on my Lamptron FC5v2. Never had a problem.
