Which client is the best to use? I just started and I am using the graphical client. Is the console one any better? Also are there any monitoring programs that I might want to use with this?

you should use the console client. It has less overhead, meaning more CPU cycles -> folding (since it doesn't have to draw the pretty pictures )

i'm pretty sure you can
stop the client
just copy the WU (work unit) data to a diff. folder
delete the client
install the console client
look to the faq (thing i linked you to) for installation how-to and instructions.
