question about drivers

im upgrading my video card from a 6600gt, since the 7800 uses the same drivers do I still need to uninstall the drivers? or can I just swap them out?

I believe you can just swap out. I've done that in the past and had no problems.

Yup, just trade 'em. As long as you're using unified drivers you'll have no issues. Occasionally there are special drivers written for one card (a la the 97.02's) the won't work without modification. Just install the latest (or some from at least '06) drivers from Nvidia and it'll detect the new card and work with no issues.
