We do not have dvi ports in our systems, so my question is would there be any difference between an E173FP and a UltraSharp 1704FPV using just an analog connector?
Yes! I built identical QBic's for my mother and my wife, and mine has the 1704. It has a slightly sharper picture while using VGA input. I can also say that, without a doubt, the 1704 that I have looks better on DVI (than the 173 on DVI). Now, this is a VERY small cross-section of monitors. Who knows, I may just have a bum 173, or a factory freak 1704- who knows?
