Question about Creative XFi

I'm about to buy a Creative XFI Xtreme Gamer and I was wondering if the front panel that came with my Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum will work on it? They look the same just that it says XFI instead of Audigy 2 like mine has. Anybody knows about this?

i think i saw in a newegg review that it would work. but why would u want an x-fi card when creative crippled the vista driver?

How exactly did Creative cripple the Vista driver for the X-Fi series of cards again?

To the original poster:

Yes, if your LiveDrive (5.25" drive bay I/O panel) is indeed the one for the Audigy 2 then it will work perfectly with the X-Fi.

Be aware that this doesn't hold true for previous versions of the drive bay panel. If it's for an original Audigy (not Audigy 2) or for a Sound Blaster Live then it WILL NOT work and plugging it up could fry your X-Fi, the LiveDrive, or both. So make sure it's indeed the Audigy 2 one you have.

It is an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. I still have the box and it says it right on the front of the drive bay panel. Just trying to replace the card since it's bad. Got some water on it.

STOP! it does NOT work with the xtremegamer- the xtremegamer has no connection for it!

it will work with the xtrememusic or fatal1ty no problem
