hello,
i just set up my hard drive in a different setup...
my Promise FastTrak S150 TX2 Plus SATA + ATA100 RAID Controller arrived today...
prior to recieving this RAID Controller, i have been running 2 of my ATA hard drives on a Promise Ultra 100 TX2, 1 ATA Drive on my Epox 5EPA+'s onboard ITE IDE RAID Controller which will house up to four drives, and my 4 SATA Raptor Drives on my Onboard SATA controller...
in that old configuration, i had no problem seeing any of my drives... all of them were seen and worked 100%.

but now with the new setup with the SATA+ATA Raid Controller card, it will see and utilize in windows my 2 74 raptors i put on it, because it put them in a raid, however... the controller sees the other 2 320gb drrives but does not see them in windows... then my 250gb drive that i have pluged in single into my onboard ITE does not even get recognized... i have it enabled in the bios, but since i installed this card it no longer goes thru its detection process when the computer first boots up... and windows still sees the ITE controller under device manager, but when i click on its manager program, when it used to say it found a 250GB drive, it now says no drives.. when that drive is still pluged in....

so basicly... what do i need to do to get my 3 ATA100 drives working again without putting them into a RAID setup....

plz help.... thanks... Vapor

ok... so i solved the problem of the 2 ATA 320gig drives on my S150 TX2 Plus not showing up in windows by making them both single drive stripes.... and i didnt lose any of my data that way eather :D .
but ive still got my 250gig ATA that is not being detected by my ITE onboard IDE RAID controller...

I've had issues before with multiple RAID/SCSI/SATA controllers in that since there is only a limtied memory space for add-on BIOSes like that, one or more won't work. Try updating all the firmware, and if possible move the single drive over to the old UATA controller
