Question about clearance.

Corsair H50 will give you all the clearance you need and will perform pretty well. But without knowing more about your motherboard, case, and such, we can't really tell you more.

You're right. I should have given more info. Sorry.
I will probably use a Gigabyte motherboard, Gskill ram and I'm leaning towards a Lian Li A05N case.

Without knowing your specific gigabyte motherboard and assuming you have regular g.skill ram with low heatsinks, any of the heatsink fans should be fine. I use a tuniq tower 120 on an asus p5q with g.skill (8gb) ram and it's fine.

I have G.Skill Ripjaws and my Thor's Hammer clears it fine. I think most regular towers with the heatpipes running the same direction as the ram sticks (so not including things like the Noctua D14) wont even cover the ram slots on most motherboards, its only the fan that might intrude on it. The fan on the Thor's Hammer sits just above the ram slots, but is high enough to clear the ripjaws.
