New to building computers.
Put a Striker Extreme-based system into a new case.
Getting what sounds like a 1-3-4 beep code, which is supposedly "First 64K RAM odd/even logic".
What does this actually mean? I read that it's a fatal error, other sites saying 'bad motherboard', but what is it that's making it run into this error? Where is the problem, necessarily?
The LCD poster reports 'FAN FAIL'.
No hardware except for the CPU and RAM are installed. I've tried different configurations like this (originally with a graphics card installed), with all 4 sticks of RAM, 2 sticks of RAM, cleaing the CMOS several times.
This motherboard is pretty old now, about 2 years; is it just dead?
