Question about ATX and micro atx Cases

I looking for a case for my MSI 760gm-e51 motherboard, i wanted to know if i can use a normal ATX case because the MB is micro atx. Also if that does work does anyone have a recommendation of a case PSU combo that is over 450 watts and has a PCI-E power connector. Iam having a LOT of trouble finding PSU with the right connection thats already with a case.
 
You should be able to fit a micro atx motherboard into a regular ATX case.
 
The PSUs that come with most cases are not good quality, or high wattage, or fully featured.

You would be better served by buying a case and a separate PSU.

Most (but not all) modern ATX cases will also support mATX motherboards.

Try Newegg.com for cases in your price range - they will tell you in the specifications if they accept mATX.

If you really want a case/PSU combo, use the Newegg search tools - they have that feature too.

Thanks I think the problem is that i have no understanding of compatibility between case and PSU along with the MB. I found just psu that would work alone but was scared they wouldnt fit into a case

Pretty much any ATX compatible power supply (95% of them) will fit in an ATX/mATX case.

Exceptions to watch out for:
- SFF (small form factor) power supplies, they have a different size smaller than ATX
- High wattage units (1000W+) can be longer and have fitment issues
- Server/proprietary PSU's, these can be long and narrow but you can easily identify them

TL;DR: Any normal PSU should work fine in just about any case. Do you have some you were looking at specifically?

My motherboard is a msi 760gm-51 and my new video card is a 6750, i really just want to find something thats compatible. The video card says it needs over 450Watts which i dont have so i figured i would buy a new case. Iam just concerned about finding a PSU with the correct power for my MB and with the correct PCI-e power connecter. I also would like to do it for under 100. Right now they are in a HP factor case and i have a fear that the cords and connectors wont match

What is the exact model of the HP? I haven't seen one in more than 10 years that had proprietary connectors, I just worked on a friends HP with a Phenom X4 that is several years old and it took a standard PSU just fine. That system doesn't need anywhere near 450W, but here are two good lower cost PSU's that should do the trick for you:

HP Pavilion a4316f Desktop it has a 300 watt but the new video card needs that 450 so i wanted to upgrade with a new case and psu
