Question about Antec 1200 Compatability

I'm thinking about replacing my Stacker 810, and am seriously considering the Antec 1200, but I'm not sure if I could install 8 HDDs and both my GTX's without the HDDs coming close to touching the GTXs. Any information and pictures (please) would be appreciated. Thanks
 
im looking at the side window on my antec twelve hundred right now, and there is only maybe 1 inch space between my 8800gt and hdd. i know you said gtx, but still, just giving you an idea.

It fits as badly as in 900 (1200 only higher). Ability to house E-ATX motherboad is good measure for good space for long graphic cards and nearly all Antecs fail in that.
Standard ATX-motherboard is 9.6" wide so do you think there's enough space for that extra inch with HDDs everywhere:

Stacker 810 is pretty much the most spacious case when it comes to space so for upgrade instead of downgrade you should look something like Lian Li A77 (if wanting all 5.25" case), not Antec's cheap copies of Stacker.
 
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. you could get 2x 4in3 hard Drive bays and be able to put them in the top 6 drive bays.
 
I don't want to use 4in3's... I'm using two right now in my stacker and my drives barely stay cool right now (I'm running 8 15,000 RPM SAS drives)

The reason I'm looking at the 1200 is it should be quieter than my stacker and i can use 8 of the 9 available 5.25" bays for HDDs, have more airflow and keep my drives cooler.

Dream on... It's even more open frame design case so all noises of components just leak out more effectively.

If you have enough free 5.25" bays you could get three of these, in them HDDs are spaced more loosely and soft mounting would keep HDDs quieter.
But for really better quietness getting rid of direct noise escape path is only way. (unless you go to totally silent components)
 
I actually think I'm going to take your suggestion and go with a PC-A77B. I can't find anyone who has the EX-33N or the BS-06 in stock yet... do you see them anywhere?
 
Silver version with bay cover (EX-33A, B is black) in front of fan is available at least in one shop here in Europe. I guess these aren't widely available because of being very new products. Like probably also that excellently designed graphic card cooler which doesn't break airflow inside case but reinforces it.
A77 actually has 9 HD bays as default (6 in front modules, 3 in front of upmost back exhaust) so getting extra module wouldn't be necessary for just 8 HDDs:
3.5" drive bay (Internal) 9 ( Use 6 bays of 5.25 Space)

I myself have original Stacker which feels too noisy (HDDs in CM's 4in3 modules so HDDs keep noise) and A77 would be equally configurable no-nonsense case with soft mounting and even one free 5.25" bay more but lack of door leaves direct noise escape path so I've been looking toward more silencing friendly models with HDDs inside case structure and door: A71 and V2110 which is 2010+door. (too bad there's no version of A77 with door, otherwise they have now nearly every kind case I can imagine)
 
I pulled the trigger on the PC-A77B, it should be here either Thursday or Monday hopefully.I'm planning on picking up a BS-06 once they're available in the states.

As long as I can switch and reconfigure the rear hdd bay for the front panel, I won't need to get the EX-33N... I guess we'll see once it arrives :D

I'm also running a stacker (810, see sig) and am looking for better cooling, but also for less noise.
