I am considering running my AMD 6950, but past performance of AMD cards was pretty low.

Rig is my 2600K running Windows7 64bit

What PPD should I expect from running this GPU 24/7 ?

Just make sure your card is running core17 work units (via the advanced flag)
Don't have personal experience with AMD 6950 cards, but my AMD 7970 GE cards are in the range of 100.000 - 110.000 ppds

6950 are not nearly as good as 7970 ppd. With a 6950 you can expect around 35-40k ppd on core17

So, I added GPU (few hours ago) to also run on my PC, but it shows status as

"Paused, waiting for idle"

should I just wait longer or restart that client or do something else?

with GPU client working I had 3 times driver crashing and one time whole PC shutdown. Temperatures were OK, so it look like I would have to reduce clocks for F@H to be stable.

:(
