I'm moving to a new apt. I'll probably be in this apt. for about a year before I buy my first home. I need a computer desk and a computer chair (or two) that will last me. I do OK, but I'm not well off by any means, and I'll be even less so after I buy a home.

So, here's my thinking. I currently have a nice coffee table, end table, and bookcases that I bought from Crate and Barrel about 4 years ago. They were expensive, but they will last me forever. I've been looking for a computer table that will match this furniture (or close enough to a dark espresso stain), be simple (I like simple stuff), and not necessarily scream "I'm a computer desk!", if you know what I mean.

I was all set to get a Jerker table from Ikea. I have an Ikea close by and I went to look at it in person and I like it. It's real sturdy, the price is right...but, something about it, maybe the grey colored metal legs, just makes me think it won't fit-in. Then, I saw this: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stor...-1&categoryId=15801&chosenPartNumber=30102455. Yeah, I know, it's a dining room table, but I don't have a dining room table. Hell, I don't even have a dining room, but I will eventually.

So, my thinking is: I can get this instead, use it as a computer table for now, and when I move, I can actually use it as a dining room table. Does anyone have this table that could tell me if it's junk or a worthwhile purchase? After doing some measuring, it seems perfect to hold two PC's (SG01), two 24" wide LCD's, two keyboards and mice on two Corepad XXL's, and be roomy enough for two people to sit side-by-side while using the two PC's (my girlfriend plays games...how neat is that?).

Also, I need a couple of chairs. Right now, I have a $15 task chair with no arms. I was thinking about this: http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/s...=-1&productId=138206&cmArea=SC2:CG32:CL142569. Anyone that has one of these want to share your opinion? I want leather, and I want squishy, but I don't want to spend a fortune.

Thanks.

I'm using a two of these:
Vika Amon + Vika Curry
Except I have different sizes: 59x29.5 (x1, $30) + 39.375x23.625 (x1, $10) + 9 legs ($5 each) = $85 + tax
Alot more space for the money. The tables are sturdy... they hold my 22" CRT nicely :D

That table you chose would make a nice dining table for when you get your house. I wanna buy a house, too, but real estate is too high in cali right now
