Question about a CF to SD adapter card.

I was looking at picking up a CompactFlash to SD adapter. My camera (Canon Rebel XTi), only supports CF, and it's an inconvenience to transfer photos over USB. Now, my question is, how will this adapter affect my photos? Will I see slower read/write speeds?

It shouldn't affect your photos at all. It's still the same file, the physical media format doesn't matter.

Using the adapter will slow down the write speeds considerably, however. This will mostly affect the situation when you burst 4 or more frames per second, and max out your buffer. If you only shoot one frame at the time every now and then, you're not going to experience any "lag".
